- Introducing Kikunoi > The Spirit of Hospitality
Each group of guests has a different reason for visiting Kikunoi. A celebration, a memorial service, a reception, a family gathering . . . whatever the occasion, Kikunoi is the ideal venue. We can do something uplifting to help you celebrate, or create a more somber atmosphere for those who have something to mourn. All of our staff members will work wholeheartedly to ensure that you get the most out of your visit.
Our greatest satisfaction comes not only from bringing you an outstanding culinary experience, but also from doing everything we can to ensure that your special day turns out exactly right, and ultimately seeing you enjoy your time at Kikunoi. Please feel free to discuss your needs with us when making your reservation.
Kikunoi welcomes reservations for wedding receptions. We can even organize a celebratory dance performance by traditional geiko or maiko entertainers at your request. We flexibly handle a wide range of requirements, and sincerely look forward to hosting your next gathering.
We have tatami mat rooms as well as tables with chairs, so guests do not have to kneel in the formal Japanese style (seiza). Those who find the formal sitting style awkward should not hesitate to make a booking.
At a ryotei establishment like Kikunoi, the guests always play the starring role. Your hostess and waitresses work behind the scenes to provide service that is visible, yet unobtrusive. We aim to demonstrate impeccable standards of manners and decorum when serving our guests.
Some people still see ryotei restaurants as inaccessible, but they have been a familiar presence to the citizens of Kyoto since olden times. Please do not hesitate to consider Kikunoi as the venue for your next birthday celebration or other special occasion.
